Why I am Qualified For This

I've been working in the new play scene in New York City since 2018. I've worked on my work and the work of others with Atlantic Theatre Company, Orchard Project, 3 Days Prior, The Bechdel Group, HB Studio, De Frente Productions, and with playwright Leah Nanako Winkler. I write plays, features, shorts films, and tv pilots, and have learned from some pretty awesome mentors. I take true joy in helping unique writers bring their drafts to fruition and tell the stories they want to tell. I was a finalist for the Jane Chambers Feminism in Playwriting Award, and my work has also been recognized by the National Playwright's Conference, Thomas Wolfe International Prize, and Final Draft Big Break Competition. I have a BFA in Drama from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (Ranked number 4 drama school in the world by Hollywood Reporter). Check out my work on New Play Exchange!​

What I Bring to the Table

A  strong sense of the form, character, ear for dialogue, and plot creation. I am extremely well read and will likely know the genre you're working in and writers you remind me of. My superpower is emotional intuition - and I want to help you channel yours into a resonant, emotional, and nuanced draft. I decided to call this whole endeavor “Write Your Heart Out” because that’s exactly what I want to help people do. I want to help you write bravely and authentically, and not to shy away from vulnerability. I want to encourage you to bring YOU to the work - all of your individuality, humor, and passion - so you can write the draft only you can write. 

 I'm also a professional acting teacher, so I've got a great ability to give a note in a way that is articulate and take-able. And I promise I won’t be prescriptive. Unless you want me to be. ​

Project Consultant Services - We’re in this together baby. I will consult on your project from beginning to end. I’ll read 3 drafts, with a phone meeting after each. Written feedback throughout and email/text availability in between. - 300.00 (Can vary by project)

1 Month of Email Consulting - What this means is I will read ALL of your email drafts yes all of them for one month and give you feedback on them. Hell, I'll even read your texts to that guy you matched with on tinder. - 25.00
