Grace Parker is an NYC-based writer and teacher. Her plays have been developed with Atlantic Theatre Company, 3 Days Prior, De Frente Productions, The Bechdel Project, HB Studio, and Kimberly Senior. Her play Why We Have Book Club was a finalist for the Jane Chambers Feminist Playwriting Award. Her play Double Tap was a semifinalist for the National Playwrights' Conference and the Thomas Wolfe International Prize. Her play Dear College, was awareded the Lionheart New Works Festival Award for Playwriting. She has been commissioned by Northlight Theatre Education and Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre to write plays for young performers. Additionally, her teleplays have been honored by Final Draft's Big Break Competition and NexTV. She has been assistant to playwright Leah Nanako Winkler and Orchard Project Artistic Director Ari Edelson. As an actor, she has worked with Goodman Theatre, Timeline Theatre, Engage Playwrights Lab, Breathe Project, and Rave Festival, among others. Grace also has ten years of experience in education, working with Northlight Theatre, Harand Performing Arts Camp, Trollwood Performing Arts, Kids Orbit, and as a classroom lead teacher for WHIN Music Charter School.
